Performing arts camp scheduled

The Jamestown Recreation Department is sponsoring some exciting new creative programs this season. Performing Arts Programs, Inc., a provider of performing arts instruction throughout New England, as well as seasonally in Times Square, will be offering instruction to children ages 6 to 14.

Performing Arts Programs' summer camps are designed for the young performing arts enthusiast. Beginners through advanced students, with the guidance of our talented staff, will learn to thrive creatively through the performing arts. Acting, singing and dancing are incorporated to give the young artist an opportunity to show their talent in a fun, comfortable and nurturing environment.

The first half of the day is dedicated to fun and exciting dance and acting sessions, while the afternoon is spent rehearsing for a final public performance revue for family and friends showcasing each individual student and their work from the week.

The classes will run July 9 to 13 at the recreation center, 41 Conanicus Ave. from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The cost is $185 for the week.

Visit the website www.performingartsprograms. biz to find out more about the summer programs.

Registration is online or by phone at 860-432-9890. There will be a $10 discount for anyone registering online or over the phone.
