Three stopped on multiple charges

Jonathan E. Sole, 20, of North Kingstown, was stopped June 17 on Route 138 West for erratic driving. He was charged with first offense driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol, first offense possession of marijuana, refusal to submit to a Breathalyzer test, and possession of alcohol by an underage person, according to police. He was held and arraigned at the police department and a July 6 pretrial date was scheduled at Newport District Court, police said.

+ Kristopher J. DeAngelis, 21, of North Kingstown, was charged with first offense possession of marijuana and held and arraigned at the police department. A pre-trial hearing is scheduled for July 6 at Newport District Court, according to police.

+ Dominic Hazzard, 19, of North Kingstown, was charged with first offense possession of marijuana and possession of alcohol by a minor. Hazzard was held and arraigned at the police department and a pre-trial hearing was scheduled for July 6 at Newport District Court, according to police.

Weapons violation and disorderly conduct charge

Daniel Ward, 18, of Upton, Mass., was stopped June 17 at Conanicus Avenue and East Ferry and charged with a weapons violation. A call to the police station reported passengers in the vehicle Ward was driving were throwing fireworks at pedestrians. Police stopped and searched the vehicle and held Ward at the police station where he was arraigned. A pre- trial date was scheduled for July 6 at Newport District Court, police said.

Two Jamestown juveniles were charged with disorderly conduct in the same case. They were referred to Rhode Island Family Court, police said.
