Daytime book talk reading list posted

The Afternoon Book Discussion at the Jamestown library continues on Tuesday, Aug. 14, at l p.m. with the book "Snow Flower and the Secret Fan," by Lisa See.

After a lively discussion of "The Devil in the White City," the group decided to hold an August discussion. The Tuesday book discussion has been ongoing since February 1997; they meet the second Tuesday of each month. The group is open to the public and discusses a variety of fiction and non-fiction titles. New participants are always welcome.

Future books for discussion and date are as follows:

Aug. 14 , "Snow Flower and the Secret Fan," by Lisa See, Sept. 11, "Founding Mothers: The Women Who Raised Our Nation," by Cokie Roberts, Oct. 9, "The Thirteenth Tale: A Novel," by Diane Setterfield; Nov. 13, "Eat, Pray, Love: One Woman's Search for Everything Across Italy, India and Indonesia" by Elizabeth Gilbert; Dec. 11, "Water for Elephants: A Novel," by Sara Gruen

Jan. 8, "Sister Carrie," by Theodore Dreiser and Feb. 12, "Isaac's Storm: A Man, a Time, and the Deadliest Hurricane in History," by Erik Larson.

For more information, call the library at 423-7280. These book may be obtained through the Jamestown Library by placing holds on one of the many copies in the state available through the Cooperating Libraries Automated Network (CLAN). Registration is not required.
