Pow! Science! at the library

Children entering grades 3 through 6 are invited to participate in Pow!Science!'s Spy Science on Thursday, Aug. 16, at 3 p.m. at the Jamestown library.

Registration begins Aug. 6 and is required for this free, 45-minute program. Visit the library at 26 North Main Road or call 423-7280 to register.

Participants in Pow!Science!'s Spy Science program must never reveal the secret experiments and tricks of the spy trade they will learn in this exciting exploration of codes and cyphers, chemical analysis and dactylography (fingerprinting).

Pow!Science! recommends that all agents-in-training be in at least third grade for this program because reading and writing skills are required for maximum enjoyment.

This program is part of the Summer Reading Program, "Get a Clue @ Your Library" and is sponsored by the Friends of Jamestown Philomenian Library, the RI Office of Library and Information Services, the Institute of Museum and Library Services, McDonald's Restaurants of Rhode Island and the Citizens Bank Foundation.
