Fall book discussions set

The Afternoon Book Discussion at the Jamestown library continues on Tuesday, Aug. 14, at l p.m. with the book "Snow Flower and the Secret Fan," by Lisa See.

After a lively discussion of "The Devil in the White City," the group decided to hold an August meeting. New participants are always welcome.

Future books for discussion and dates are as follows:

Sept. 11, "Founding Mothers: The Women Who Raised Our Nation," by Cokie Roberts. Oct. 9, "The Thirteenth Tale: A Novel," by Diane Setterfield.

Nov. 13, "Eat, Pray, Love: One Woman's Search for Everything Across Italy, India and Indonesia," by Elizabeth Gilbert.

For more information, call the library at 423-7280. These books may be obtained through the Jamestown library by placing holds on one of the many copies in the state available through the Ocean State Libraries Consortium. Registration is not required. The meetings are free and open to the public and new members are encouraged to join.
