Vintage clothing sale in Newport

Child & Family Services will host two new and unique events to benefit its Ophelia Programs for girls and young women in Newport County.

Ophelia's Wardrobe will be a sale of gently-used designer and vintage clothing and accessories.

Two events are planned. The first, a preview cocktail party, will be held tomorrow evening, Aug. 17, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at the Young Building, 370 Bellevue Ave, Newport. Tickets are $50 per person and include an open bar and hors d'oeuvres.

The other event is a full-day sale of clothing and accessories on Saturday, Aug. 18, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., in the same location. Admission is free for the second event.
