Sen. Reed banquet set
Save The Bay, a non-profit, member-volunteer organization that for 37 years has guarded the health and future of Narragansett Bay and its watershed, will hold an event celebrating U.S. Senator Jack Reed's support of Save The Bay's efforts to work for the bay people want.
Save The Bay Honors U.S. Senator Jack Reed will take place Saturday, Nov. 3, at the Rhode Island Convention Center.
"Senator Reed is a friend of Save The Bay, an advocate for all who treasure Narragansett Bay and now, with the recent introduction of his 'No Child Left Inside Act,' a champion of environmental education throughout the country," Save The Bay Executive Director Curt Spalding said.
"We hope the bay community will unite in this show of appreciation for Senator Reed's ongoing support of our mission to protect, restore and explore the bay, and to connect people with this marvelous resource," Spalding added. "Senator Reed believes, as we do, that education is a key to protecting the bay's future. Much of what we do would not be possible without the senator's leadership."
Tickets for the event are $300 per person; $500 per couple. Reservations may be made online at www. savebay.org. Patrons may further support the event by way of sponsorship and advertising opportunities in the commemorative journal, which every guest will receive.
