WHEREAS, a Petition has been presented to said Court by the Town of Jamestown, a Rhode Island Municipal corporation, to foreclose all rights of redemption from the lien proceedings described in said Petition in and concerning a certain parcel of land situated in the County of Washington and State of Rhode Island, bounded and described in said Petition as follows:

If you desire to make any objection or defense to said Petition, you or your attorney must file a written appearance and an Answer under oath, setting forth clearly and specifically your objections or defense to each part of said Petition, in the Office of the Superior Court, in Newport, on or before the 7th day of December, 2007, that you may then and there show cause, if any, why the prayer of the Petitioner should not be granted. Unless your appearance is filed by or for you, your default will be recorded, the said Petition will be taken as confessed, and you will be forever barred from contesting said Petition or any Decree entered thereon. NOTICE OF A PUBLIC HEARING

NOTICE is hereby given that there will be a public hearing by and before the Town Council of the Town of Jamestown on the 13th of November 2007 at 7:00 p.m. at the Jamestown Town Hall, 93 Narragansett Avenue, Jamestown, RI pursuant to 5-24-1 of the General Laws of Rhode Island, 1956, and as amended, upon the following applications:

RENEWALS: Drake Petroleum Company, Inc. dba: Jamestown Xtra Mart 35 Narragansett Avenue Plat 9 Lot 246 Cumberland Farms, Inc. dba: Cumberland Farms Store #1108 41 North Main Road

APPLICATION OF DRAKE PETROLEUM COMPANY, INC., Inc. dba: Jamestown Xtra Mart, for renewal of additional operational hours between 2:00 AM and 6:00 AM for the said establishment, holder of a Victualing License issued by the Town of Jamestown. If granted, this will allow this establishment to continue to be open 24 hours per day.

APPLICATION OF CUMBERLAND FARMS, INC., dba: Cumberland Farms Store #1108, for renewal of additional operational hours between 5:00 AM and 6:00 AM for said establishment, holder of a Victualing License issued by the Town of Jamestown. If granted, this will allow this establishment to continue to be open from 5:00 AM to 2:00 AM daily (RIGL 5-24-1 allows this establishment to be open until 2:00 AM).

All interested persons are notified to be present at said hearing to be heard for or against the granting of said applications. All interested persons at said hearing shall be given an opportunity to be heard on said application.

The above applications will be in order for hearing at a meeting of said Licensing Board on TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 13, 2007 at 7:00 pm. at the Jamestown Town Hall, 93 Narragansett Avenue, in said Jamestown, at which time and place all remonstrates may make their objections against granting these licenses.

Notice of Public Hearing

A Preliminary Public Hearing will be held for the Randall Major Land Development Project on Wednesday November 7, 2007 at a meeting of the Jamestown Planning Commission beginning at 7:30 p.m. in the Town Council Chambers of the Jamestown Town Hall, 93 Narragansett Avenue.

This project consists of a new, 4,320 square foot Commercial Retail/Office building on Narragansett Avenue, directly adjacent to and east of Randall Gallery and moving the single family home from Narragansett Avenue to Howland Avenue. The project is comprised of Tax Assessors Plat (AP) 9 Lot 179. Said lot proposed for development begins less than 1/10th of a mile (less than 100 feet) east of Narragansett Avenues intersection with Howland Avenue on the south side of Narragansett Avenue.

Interested parties may examine the plans for the proposed Land Development Project at the Jamestown Planning Office, 93 Narragansett Avenue, Room 210 Monday through Friday, between the hours of 9am to 12pm and 1pm to 3pm, 423-7210.

The proposed Land Development Project may be revised by the Planning Commission as a result of further study or because of the views expressed at the Preliminary Hearing.
