Visit the business expo Nov. 1
The Jamestown Chamber of Commerce will hold its annual Business Expo & Taste of Jamestown "Chowda" on Thursday, Nov. 1, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the community center.
This annual event is a showcase of Jamestown businesses, including a number of home-based businesses.
"This is an opportunity for residents to learn more about the variety of businesses we have on the island, and maybe start some holiday shopping," said Vicki deAngeli, Chamber president.
Businesses exhibiting include Dutra Designs, The Purple Door Bead Shop, Clancy Designs, and Cathryn Jamieson Salon. Along with the Expo, attendees can sample chowders from some of Jamestown's favorite restaurants, including Chopmist Charlie's, East Ferry Deli, Narragansett Café, Slice of Heaven and Trattoria Simpatico. There will also be drawings throughout the evening to win Jamestown Chamber Checks.
Admission is free. For more information, contact the Jamestown Chamber at 423.3650 or visit www.jamestownRIchamber.com.
