The Cultural Society of South County will hold a meeting on Oct. 30, at 7 p.m. in the North Kingstown library, 100 Boon Street.

Dr. Muriel Camarra will speak on the Roman Empire and light refreshments will follow the program.

The group has reorganized after a hiatus of one year and is open to anyone interested in Italian culture, language, art, music, literature, travel, folklore, food or wine.

The Society was founded in the 1970's by Remo Trivelli, Emeritus Professor of Italian at URI.
