We always need volunteers
      Many residents may find it hard to believe, but the Town of Jamestown relies on a totally volunteer department to provide all of the fire suppression services we have in town. Currently the department responds to nearly 400 calls per year and we conduct weekly training sessions on Thursday evenings. The department and the community can always use more help.

People filled many bowls
      The Empty Bowls committee would like to thank the community for our third successful year. In total, $6,000 was raised for local food banks.

Community hate needs to end!
      A few days before the Nov. 6 election, a postcard was mailed to residents of Jamestown that had derogatory and misleading comments regarding the two independent candidates for Town Council. Unfortunately, there was no possible way to respond to the charges because of the last minute timing of the mailing.
