Florence Elva Wirth, 89
She was the wife of the late William S. Wirth.
She was a 10th generation descendent of Roger Williams. She had been a longtime employee of the City of Cranston and previously served as secretary at Woodridge Congregational Church in Cranston. She was a member and past regent of the Pettasquamscutt Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, a member of the Roger Williams Family Association and former treasurer of both the 1918 Club and Cranston Veterans Scholarship Fund.
She is survived by her son, Stephen B. Wirth, and wife, Marcia (Pierce), of Jamestown, daughter, Linda J. Fiocchi, and husband Richard, of Coventry, four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Lucille Parson and Helen Morris.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, Nov. 23, at 2 p.m. in St. David's on the Hill Episcopal Church, Cranston.
