'Holiday Medley' this weekend

The Jamestown Community Chorus will perform its "Holiday Medley" program twice this weekend, first on Saturday, Dec. 8, at 7:30 p.m., and again on Sunday, Dec. 9, at 3 p.m. Both performances will take place at the Central Baptist Church, 99 Narragansett Ave.

While much of the traditional music in the program will be familiar to listeners, a unique part of this year's concert is the premiere of Sam Bari's "Special Time of Year." Bari joins the distinguished list of Jamestown composers/arrangers whose music has been performed by the Chorus. There will be some delightful and amusing musical surprises in the program as well.

The audience will also sing a couple of carols in the "singalong" portion of the concert.

Tickets are available from Chorus members, at the door, or in advance at Jamestown Hardware, Baker's Pharmacy, and the Secret Garden. Prices are $10 for general admission, and $7 for seniors and children.

For more information, call 423- 1574 or visit the Chorus' website at www.jamestownri.com/chorus.
