Rec basketball to start

The recreation department will hold open practices for everyone registered for the Recreational Basketball League on Saturday, Jan. 6.

Boys in grades 7 and 8 will practice from 8 to 9:30 a.m. at the Lawn Avenue School gym. Boys in grades 5 and 6 will practice at the Lawn Avenue School Gym from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Girls in grades 3 to 8 years old will meet from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at the Community Center. Boys in grades 3 and 4 will meet from 3 to 4:30 p.m. at the Community Center.

These practices are to help aid the coaches in picking even teams. Games will start on Saturday, Jan. 13. All children that are registered will be put on teams. For more information, call 423-7260.
