Clowning around in Westerly

The Chorus of Westerly has announced that longtime Celebration of Twelfth Night Jesters Randy Judkins and Tom Murphy will offer a Clowning Workshop on Sunday, Jan. 7, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Christ Church Parish Hall, 7 Elm St. in Westerly.

The workshop is open to the public, age 12 and over. The fee is $25 per person and admission is on a first-come, first-served basis and is limited to a maximum of 40 participants. For more information, call 596-8663.

Judkins and Murphy are both known nationally for their clowning around and jestering skills. Each physical comedian maintains a busy performance and teaching schedule year-round that takes them around the globe, bringing laughs to audiences of all ages. For the Jan. 7 Clowning Workshop, the two comedy masters will share techniques on physical comedy, juggling, comedic timing, and more.
