Youth sailing registration open

Registration for the 2007 Sail Newport Youth Sailing Program is now open.

Interested families are urged to apply online before Wednesday, Feb. 17, as the program traditionally fills up early.

Sail Newport will hold an open house on Feb. 17 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. for those who wish to apply in person, talk with youth instructors , and tour the facility at Fort Adams State Park.

Attendance at the open house is not mandatory. Applications received by that date via the Internet, paper, or walk-in all receive the same priority for lottery purposes. The programs are open to students ages 5 to 17 and include all levels of instruction. Paper applications and information is available by calling the Sailing Center at 846-1983.
