Book group lists upcoming discussions

The Afternoon Book Discussion at the Jamestown library continues on Feb. 13, the second Tuesday of the month from 1 to 2 p.m. with the book "Cane River" by Lalita Tademy.

Future meetings and books are as follows:

Tuesday, March 13, "The Floating Brothel: The Extraordinary True Story of an Eighteenth-Century Ship and Its Cargo of Female Convicts" by Sian Rees;

Tuesday, April 10, "The Hard Way," a Jack Reacher novel by Lee Child;

Tuesday, May 8, "One Thousand White Women: The Journals of May Dodd" by Jim Fergus.

More meeting dates and titles include, Tuesday, June 12, "The Light That Failed" by Rudyard Kipling; Tuesday, July 10, "The Devil In The White City: Murder, Magic & Madness And The Fair That Changed America" by Erik Larson.

This book may be obtained through the Jamestown library by placing holds on one of the many copies in the state available through the Cooperating Libraries Automated Network (CLAN). Registration is not required. The meetings are free and open to the public and new members are encouraged to join.
