Former island resident awarded for law service Frank Julian of Sweeney Julian Law Firm in South Bend, Ind., was awarded the Indiana Trial Lawyers Association Max Goodwin Young Lawyer Excellence in Advocacy Award. Julian received the award at the Indiana Trial Lawyers Association's 42nd Annual Institute on Nov. 16, 2006 at the Westin Hotel in Indianapolis, Indiana. The annual award is exemplary of the foundation of ITLA's mission. It is awarded to a young lawyer who has shown "distinguished service to the citizens of Indiana and the United States as an outstanding young lawyer dedicated to the rights of the injured under the laws of the state of Indiana and the United States of America." "Frank Julian exemplifies that leadership is service and his dedication to both his clients and ITLA rises to this level of recognition. His spirit as a young lawyer and young leader secures the future of the Indiana Trial Lawyer Association's mission, said Micki B. Wilson, executive director of the Indiana Trial Lawyers Association. Julian grew up in Jamestown and attended Jamestown elementary school and North Kingstown High School. Julian lives near Notre Dame in Granger, Ind., with his wife, Jody, and two children. |
