Cocaine possession

Luke D. Verrier, 25, of 66 B Pemberton Ave. was charged Jan. 23 for driving with a suspended license, obstructing an officer in execution of duty, and possession of cocaine after he was stopped for driving a vehicle with the wrong license plates.

Police said they had been told of the truck having the wrong plates and stopped the vehicle when they saw it. Verrier was arraigned Jan. 24 at Newport District Court.
