Teens invited to see 'Invisible Children'

On Monday, Feb. 12, the Newport County Youth Council will present the first of a four-part documentary series, "Change Starts Now," in the auditorium of the Newport Community College of Rhode Island campus. The first documentary to be screened is "Invisible Children" beginning at 6 p.m.

This film depicts the reality of children in Uganda, Africa, showing how they are kidnapped from their homes and trained as child soldiers to fight in the Northern Uganda Civil War.

Truly compelling and provocative, the film will be presented by local youth organizers and the 2007 Invisible Children team followed by a discussion session.
