Compassion missing from writer's letter

I wish to address the warmly written letter from Mr. Salvatore in last week's paper. His compassion for our fellow Americans is just overwhelming! All those people out there working an average of 55 hours a week, doing jobs we wouldn't even consider, just looking for hand outs - who knew?
