Central Baptist to explore suffering

Songs from "Yours, Anne," a musical adaptation of "The Diary of Anne Frank," will open a sixweek exploration of suffering at Central Baptist Church.

The musical selections will combine with readings and stories during the congregation's worship service at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 25.

Cast members from the Jamestown Community Theater's production of this moving and sensitive musical will perform during the service, which will mark the first Sunday of Lent.

Central Baptist will continue to explore suffering throughout the Lenten season. Sunday mornings will feature a sermon series- "Journey of the Heart"- that will focus on various aspects of the Christian journey, including suffering. The congregation will also offer a discussion series on making sense of suffering in today's world at 7 p.m. on the last four Thursdays in March. The series, as well as the worship services, is open to everyone.
