Maple sugaring demonstration Join the Audubon Society of Rhode Island at Parker Woodland Wildlife Refuge in Coventry for a program entitled "Maple Sugaring." Saturday, March 3. Audubon members explain how maple sugaring started with Native Americans and demonstrate how people can make maple syrup in their own back yard. Attendees will also taste firsthand this treat over a breakfast of pancakes, muffins, and doughnuts. The fee for this program is $10 for adult members and $5 for child members, $15 for adult nonmembers and $7 for nonmember children. Since space is limited, registration is required. Register for the 9 a.m. or 10 a.m. seating for breakfast. The tours will follow. Call 295-8283 to register. |
