Town budget workshops announced

The Town Council has scheduled three budget workshops this month. The sessions are set for 6 p.m. on Tuesday, March 13, 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 15, and 6 p.m. on Tuesday, March 20. Åll workshops will be at the town library.

Budget proposals for the new year beginning July 1 had not been tabulated as of last Friday and were not expected to be ready before March 7, the charter mandated deadline for submission by the town administration to the Town Council and made public.

Town Administrator Bruce Keiser said Friday that he did not know the requested bottom line, nor had he tabulated what his recommendations on the department proposals would be. He said the proposals were not compiled or ready for discussion yet.
