'Yours, Anne' not to be missed

This is the final weekend for the Jamestown Community Theatre's production of the musical "Yours, Anne."

The musical is based on the "Anne Frank, the Diary of a Young Girl." Told from the perspective of a young girl, it is the true story of two Jewish families hiding from the Nazis in Amsterdam. The families shared a cramped attic.

Islanders who attended the JCT musical presentations last weekend say it is one that you do not want to miss. "Poignant," "haunting," and "moving" have been used to describe the production.

The musical depicts how hope can grow from despair, and is a lesson for us all.
