Lighthouse Association offers scholarship

The Beavertail Lighthouse Association is once again announcing the availability of two $1,000 scholarships. The scholarship may be applied toward college tuition, books or fees related to the course of study.

The scholarships are for graduating high school students who live in Jamestown and intend to further their education through an institution of higher learning.

The Beavertail Light Museum Association strives to promote understanding and awareness of our island's environment and rich history.

Scholarship applications will be available after March 22 at the Jamestown library. Applications are to be placed unfolded in a large envelope and postmarked no later than May 1. Incomplete applications and those postmarked after the May 1 deadline will not be considered.
