At the library The Jamestown Philomenian Library's Anime Club for teens meets the second and fourth Tuesday of the month at 7 pm. The next two meetings will be held on Tuesday, March 13, and Tuesday, March 27. The group views and discusses Japanese anime films. This program is free and open to all teens. Celtic music this Sunday The Friends of the Library are excited to present the third program in their annual music series on Sunday, March 18, at 2 p.m. in the Jamestown Library meeting hall with the group "A Celebration of Ireland." Rousing Celtic music and dance will be performed by Mary King, Marilyn Meardon, Tom Maguire, and Phil Edmonds. The program is fun for the whole family. The event is free and open to the public. Sidewalk Stompers to Perform The Sidewalk Stompers will be performing at the Jamestown Philomenian Library on Saturday, March 24, at 2 p.m. for children and their families. The Sidewalk Stompers is an acoustic trio that features guitar, clawhammer banjo, fiddle, mouth harp, piano accordian, and Celtic harp. This free 45-minute program is sponsored by the Friends of Jamestown Philomenian Library. Sailing series lecture Roger Marshall will speak about "Rough Weather Seamanship for Sail and Power" on Wednesday, March 28, at 7:30 p.m. at the library. The lecture and presentation will offer ocean-tested heavy weather techniques for both sailboats and powerboats, practical advice on surviving worst-case scenarios, and decision-making exercises that can save lives.
