Power Squadron sponsors safe boating class

The Newport Sail and Power Squadron is offering a "Boat Smart" course for both power boaters and sailors that meets the requirements and provides for a Rhode Island Safe Boating Certificate.

The six-session course will be given Monday evenings from 7 to 8:45 p.m. in the Pennfield School cafeteria, 110 Sandy Point Ave., Portsmouth.

Registration will be on Monday, April 2, at 6:45 p.m.
