Two arrests for DUI

+ Alan H. Hoff, 52, of 11 Pettaquamscutt Lake Rd., Saunderstown, was arrested on March 13 and charged with first offense DUI. He was stopped for erratic driving on Rt. 138 westbound and arraigned at Newport District Court where he was given a pretrial court date of March 30, police said.

+ Andrew S. Palm, 27, of 116 Linden Dr., Kingston, was arrested on March 17 and charged with first offense DUI and refusal to submit to a chemical test. Palm was stopped on Rt. 138 westbound for swerving and driving erratically. He was arraigned by the justice of the peace and given a March 30 pre-trial court date at Newport District Court, police said.
