Lots of pennies
The Jamestown Lawn Avenue School Raised $1,500 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's program "Pennies For Patients." Students in grades 6 to 8 competed in "Penny Wars," and grade 7 won the competition. All money donated directly benefits Rhode Island teens with cancer. Brinks, one of the national sponsors of the program, picked up the 15 bags of coins and cash on Friday, April 13.
