Police Log

Larcenies reported

+ A fisherman reported May 1 that a cooler full of squid was taken from his truck parked on Ft. Getty Road.

+ An employee at Conanicut Marina reported May 2 that a ladder was taken from the docks and lobster pots and other items were thrown around.

+ A resident of Longfellow Road told police May 4 that an outboard motor was taken from the sailboat parked in the yard.

+ A boat owner told police May 4 that a shore-powered electrical adapter was taken from a locked box on the docks at Conanicut Marina.

Vandalism reported

A resident of Southwest Avenue reported May 7 that a cement truck drove through and destroyed electrical lines from the street to the house. The cement company was making amends, police said.

Driving while suspended license

Crystal Seco, 21, of Warwick, was stopped May 2 on Route 138 and charged with driving with a suspended license. Seco is due May 11 in Newport District Court.

Picked up on warrant

Achille M. Wade, 63, of Providence was picked up May 6 on Route 138 for not having an inspection sticker. Police said Wade was wanted by Washington County Court for failing to appear and was taken to Washington County for processing, police said.
