Academic milestones for island students

Earns degree

Nicholas W. Blanton, of Jamestown, received a bachelor's degree in business May 5 from Champlain College in Burlington, Vt.

Deans list + Justin Topp, of Jamestown, was named to the dean's list at Johnson and Wales University for the winter term. Topp is majoring in international hotel and tourism management.

+ Laura C. Hamilton, of Jamestown, was named to the dean's list at Roanoke College for the fall semester.

Hamilton is the daughter of Bruce and Kerry Hamilton.

Spanish exam honors

Among the 37 students from Moses Brown School to achieve top scores on the National Spanish Exam were Jamestown residents Jason Smith Vidaurre, who received the first place gold medal for level 3, and Grace Smith Vidaurre, who took the third place silver medal in level 5.
