Battery Day a Great Success

Saturday, May 12, was Battery Day at the Conanicut Battery. From the moment the Jamestown Community Band started playing until Captain Tew's Company struck their last tent, everybody had a great time. The Jamestown Historical Society and the Friends of the Conanicut Battery want to thank all who helped make this a very special day.

The Jamestown Community Band played patriotic music. Paul Brunelle was our Major Blodgett. Father O'Neill led the invocation. Bruce Long brought his Del's Lemonade cart and assured us of continued support from our legislative representatives. Jamestown Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts carried the colors. Members of the
