Michelle L. Silva, 39, of North Kingstown, formerly of Acushnet and Dartmouth, Mass.

died at home surrounded

by her family and friends May 13, 2007 after a long battle with cancer.

Born in New Bedford, she was the daughter of Rita Parr of North Kingstown, and Robert P. Silva of New Bedford.

Michelle is survived by her parents, maternal grandmother Ruth Parr of South Dartmouth, brother Michael Silva, sister-in-law Jill Silva, nephew Morgan Park Silva all of East Sandwich, sister Sharyn Adams, brother-in-law Michael Adams and niece Holly Michelle Adams all of Marshfield. She also leaves behind her loving companion Neil Gaudreau of Jamestown, godchild Lauren Michelle Haskins of Groton, Conn., numerous aunts and uncles including John and Barbara Garcia of North Dartmouth and many friends including John and Christine Tavares of Acushnet.

Memorial donations can be made to the Massachusetts General Hospital Bone Marrow Transplant Program, MGH, Development Office, 165 Cambridge Street, Suite 600, Boston, MA 02114.

The funeral will be held Friday, May 18, at 10 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, 783 Dartmouth Street, Dartmouth. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours are tonight from 6 to 9 p.m. in the Waring-Sullivan Home of Memorial Tribute at Dartmouth, 230 Russells Mills Road, Dartmouth. Burial will be private.
