Learn to make compost at library

A class on using compost bins will be offered to island residents on Thursday, June 7, at 7 p.m. at the library.

Twenty-five island residents who called the town hall received free compost bins as part of a grant the town received from the Rhode Island Resource Recovery Corporation. The bin recipients are required to take the free class, but others interested in the how-tos of composting are also invited to participate.

The class is free of charge and open to the public.
