Grow a sunflower just for fun

The Secret Garden is again sponsoring the annual sunflower contest.

Now in its 11th year, the contest pits green-thumbed islanders against each other- each looking to grow the islands largest or tallest sunflower.

Stop by the Secret Garden during regular business hours to pick up an official sunflower contest seedling. Contestants should return the plant on Aug. 25 to be judged.
