Chowder cook-off this weekend

The annual Schweppes Great Chowder Cook-Off will be this Saturday, June 2, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Newport Yachting Center.

Restaurants from near and far will be stewing up a wide array of chowders to be judged by a panel of chowder experts.

Tickets are $20 and allow for unlimited chowder tasting, live music and all activities. Children under 12 are admitted free with a paying adult.
