Café sponsors cancer benefit

The Narragansett Café is sponsoring a "Taste of Jamestown," event to benefit longtime doorman Phil Hunt, who has been diagnosed with cancer.

To help support Hunt through his long and expensive journey, everyone is invited to an afternoon of food, music and fun on Sunday, June 24, from 3 to 7 p.m.

The Irish band Garda will be performing and there will be a buffet and raffle items. Tickets are $30 and available at the cafe. For those who want to just enjoy the music, admission is by donation.

Restaurants are asked to supply a signature dish and a person to staff the buffet. Businesses are needed to provide raffle prizes and donations, which can be dropped off at the Narragansett Cafe.
