Scholar will travel to Ireland

Michaela Cohoon of Jamestown was the recent recipient of a Duffy Family Ambassador Scholarship and was named an Andrew B. Saxon Fellow in music. Here, she is being presented with her award by college President Richard P. Miller Jr.

Cohoon is a junior, majoring in music at Hartwick College in Oneonta, N.Y. She will use the scholarship to undertake a study of traditional music in Ireland.

Cohoon is the daughter of Katherine O'Neill of Jamestown.
