Larceny

Nancy Kurt, 54, of 7 Sail St. was charged with larceny under $500 after being observed on a video surveillance tape allegedly taking a donation canister for the Fourth of July fireworks, police said.

A pre-trial hearing is scheduled for July 6 at Newport District Court according to police.

Suspended license charged

Douglas F. DeLeone, 39, of Portsmouth, was stopped for speeding on Route 138 west and charged with driving with a suspended license for the fourth time, police said. DeLeone is scheduled for a July 6 arraignment at Newport District Court, according to police.
