Garden club to meet Monday

The Quononoquott Garden Club will tour the garden of a retired landscape designer as part of its July 9 monthly meeting.

The business meeting will begin at 10 a.m. at St. Matthew's parish hall. Following the meeting, members will carpool to Middletown to view the garden of Virginia Purviance, which was featured on the TV show "People Places and Plants" last year.

After the program, members will enjoy a lunch at the Atlantic Beach Club.
