Bird sanctuary to hold benefit ball

The Norman Bird Sanctuary is planning a fund-raising ball called "Birds Gone Wild," on Saturday, Aug. 18, at 7 p.m. at the sanctuary.

Partygoers will enjoy breathtaking ocean views from under the tent in the sanctuary meadow. Blackstone Caterers will tempt palates with a sumptuous menu and the Ravers will keep everyone dancing with their groovy reggae tunes. The event will benefit the Norman Bird Sanctuary, with its 57-year history of providing wild spaces for people and wildlife, as well as outstanding education programs for children and families.

Tickets are $100. For more information or to purchase tickets, contact 846-2577.
