Karon is 'toastmaster'

Jamestown resident Richard Karon was awarded Toastmasters top honor, Distinguished Toastmaster, on May 5, at the District 31 Spring Conference in Dedham, Mass.

The Distinguished Toastmaster Award (DTM) is the highest award a Toastmaster can achieve. With over 2 million members in Toastmasters International over the last 80 years, fewer than 12,000 have earned the DTM award. It takes perseverance and dedication to make this achievement. A DTM has given over 40 speeches, mentored a new member, held officer positions in both their club and the district.

Karon is an engineering fellow with Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems.
