Barbara S. Haggis, 87
Barbara S. (Mackewicz) Haggis, 87, of North Kingstown, formerly of Narragansett, passed away Friday, July 20, 2007, at Scalabrini Villa Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late William L. Haggis.

Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Anton and Eva (Kravis) Mackewicz.

Mrs. Haggis worked for Coro Jewelry Company for many years before retiring. She was a former member of the St. Paul's Women's Club in Cranston.

She leaves four daughters, Joan A. Cashman and her husband, Bill, of Saunderstown, Carol J. Lavin and her husband, Kevin, of Narragansett, Janice B. Barron and her husband, Jim, of Jamestown and Barbara M. Thompson and her husband, Robert, of Saunderstown; 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Julian Mackewicz and Ann Mahoney.

A memorial mass will be celebrated Saturday, July 28, at 10 a.m. in St. Mark Church, 60 Narragansett Ave. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Alzheimer's Association, RI Chapter, 245 Waterman St., Providence, RI 02906 will be appreciated. Arrangements were made by Fagan-Quinn Funeral Home.
