September golf tourney scheduled
      The Jamestown Baseball and Soccer Associations are making preliminary plans to hold a Glow Ball golf tournament on Saturday, Sept. 15, at the Jamestown Golf Course. Proceeds will be used to provide much-needed improvements to the concession stand at the baseball and soccer fields.

      Tickets for the 24th Annual "Trashless" Clambake at the Rose Island Lighthouse on Aug. 18 are now on sale. This event sells out each year, so buy tickets early to avoid disappointment. The menu includes New England clam chowder, fresh garden salad, and homemade corn bread.
