Skateboarders and BMX stars take centerstage at Skate Fest

The Jamestown Teen Center will host Skate Fest 2007 on Friday, Aug. 17, from noon to 7 p.m. Nationally known skateboarders, BMX stars and top skateboard and manufacturers will put on the day long event at the Jamestown Skate Park.

"We are very excited about this event because in the past we have not done a lot with the skating community," Melissa Minto, teen coordinator, said. "It is an excellent opportunity for the community to get involved with something different and a great outlet for the kids."
