School starts next week

The first day of school for students attending North Kingstown High School is Wednesday, Aug. 29, with the opening bell scheduled to ring at 7:25 a.m.

In Jamestown, classes for students in grades 1 to 8 will begin on Wednesday, Sept. 5, at 8:10 a.m. Students in kindergarten and pre-K will have an orientation on Sept. 5 and will begin classes the following day, Sept. 6.

All orientations will be on Sept. 5. Kindergarten students will meet from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Pre-K students who attend Tuesday and Thursday sessions will meet from 9 to 10 a.m. Pre-K students who attend Monday, Wednesday and Friday sessions will meet from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. and those who attend afternoon sessions will meet from noon to 1 p.m. All students must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
