Around-the-Island race Sunday

The Conanicut Yacht Club will host their annual Around-the- Island Race on Sunday, Sept. 2, starting with the small boats at 9:55 a.m.

There will be an informal barbeque and awards ceremony following the race at 5 p.m. Tickets are $15 in advance, or $17 at the door.

Registrations are required by 5 p.m., today, Thursday, Aug. 30.
