Club will visit Audubon center

For its September meeting, the Quononoquott Garden Club will visit the Audubon Society's Environmental Education Center in Bristol on Monday, Sept. 10.

President Gloria Westlake will conduct the business meeting at St. Matthew's Parish Hall at 11 a.m. The hospitality team, headed by Jillian Barber, will serve lunch at noon, after which members will carpool to the Audubon Center.

The 10,300 square foot center boasts the largest aquarium in Rhode Island and features many marine exhibits. Also, a quarter mile boardwalk winds through fresh and saltwater marshes ending at an observation deck overlooking Narragansett Bay.
