Pauline F. (Trask) Broad, 100, a resident of St. Clare Home in Newport, formerly of Pemberton

Jamestown, died Monday, Aug. 27, 2007, at Newport Hospital.

She was the wife of the late Eric O. Broad.

Born in Spencer, Mass. on Aug. 16, 1907, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Carrie (Wiswell) Trask.

Mrs. Broad began working in the textile mill industry at the age of 14 and worked at various mills in the Woonsocket area. She and her husband, Eric, retired to Jamestown in 1974.

She is survived by her son, Donald J. Dupre of Jamestown, two grandsons, Michael B. Dupre of Jamestown, and Scott E. Dupre of Westerly, two great-granddaughters, Monique Dupre of Fall River, and Jillian Carmichael of Vermont, and her extended family at St. Clare Home in Newport who provided such warm and loving care.

She was the grandmother of the late Donald J. Dupre and the sister of the late Harry Trask.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to St. Clare Home, 309 Spring Street, Newport, RI 02840.
